We are recalling Sleep Machines with date code 7W15TN. If you own one, please unplug it now and use this page to claim a full refund, a free replacement or store credit.

What to do right now

  1. Stop using the Sleep Machine immediately.
  2. Disconnect it from any charger and place it somewhere safe, away from anything flammable or anything that could damage the product.
  3. Check the date code on the side of the unit using Step 1 below.
  4. Claim your refund, replacement or store credit using the form on this page.
  5. Dispose of it only in line with local requirements for lithium-ion products. Do not place it in your household trash or recycling bin. Full instructions are further down this page.

  • Reason for recall: The lithium-ion battery in the product may overheat during charging, which could pose a fire hazard to consumers.

This recall applies only to Sleep Machines with the date codes above. Sleep Machines with any other date code are not affected and are safe to keep using. No other Love to Dream product is part of this recall.

Step 1: Find your date code

The date code is printed on the side of your Sleep Machine, in the small block of text that also shows Model: LTD-SM23. It is six characters, letters and numbers together, like 7W15TN. If you still have the box, the date code is on the back of that too.

Step 2: Check your code against 7W15TN

  • If your Sleep Machine has one of these codes: it is part of the recall. Please do not use it again, keep it disconnected from the charger, and continue to Step 3.
  • If your code is anything else, your Sleep Machine is not affected and is safe to keep using. There is nothing else you need to do.

If the text is worn, missing or hard to read, email us at recall@lovetodream.com with a photo of the side of the unit and we will check it against our manufacturing records. We would much rather you asked. Please keep it disconnected from the charger until we come back to you.

If you bought your Sleep Machine outside the United States, different date codes are affected. Please check the instructions for Australia and the United Kingdom.

Step 3: Mark it, and take two photos

This is what lets us send your refund straight away, rather than asking you to come back to us later. All you need is a pen and a scrap of paper.

  1. On a scrap of paper, write RECALLED, your name and today's date.
  2. Take one photo of the Sleep Machine with that note resting on or beside it, with the whole unit visible.
  3. Take a second photo, close up, of the date code on the side.

If you have more than one affected Sleep Machine, show them all in the photo.

If you have a permanent marker handy, writing RECALLED on the unit itself is the surest way to make sure it is never used or passed on by anyone else. It is not required though, and please do not go hunting for one.

Step 4: Claim your refund, replacement or store credit

Choose whichever suits you. They are free of charge, wherever you bought it.

  • A full refund: [US_REFUND] per Sleep Machine. If you bought from us it goes straight back to your original payment method. If you bought from a retailer, we will email you to arrange it.
  • A free replacement: a new Sleep Machine, delivered free, one for each affected Sleep Machine you own.
  • Store Credit: added to your Love to Dream account.

Your refund, replacement or store credit will be with you within 5 business days of us checking your photos. This is the only form you need to complete.

Step 5: Dispose of your Sleep Machine safely

Once you have claimed, the Sleep Machine is finished with. Because it contains a lithium-ion battery, it cannot go in your bins at home.

Please don't

  • Put it in your household trash can.
  • Put it in your curbside recycling bin.
  • Take it to a battery recycling bin at a grocery or hardware store. The battery is sealed inside the unit, so those bins will not accept it.
  • Mail it back to us. Lithium-ion batteries cannot be safely sent through the mail.
  • Sell it, donate it or give it to another family.

If your Sleep Machine has overheated or caused any damage

Please tell us straight away. Email recall@lovetodream.com and we will come back to you the same day.

If the unit has swollen, scorched, smoked or become hot to touch, please do not take it anywhere and do not put it in a car. Leave it outside on a non-flammable surface, away from anything that can burn, and contact us or your local waste authority for collection instructions.

If it is hot, smoking or alight, call 911 first.

If anyone has been hurt, please seek medical attention first and tell us when you can. We take this extremely seriously and we are required to report incidents to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

My date code is not the one listed. What should I do?
Nothing. Your Sleep Machine is not affected and is safe to keep using. Only date code 7W15TN is part of this recall. If you are still unsure, or the text is hard to read, email us a photo at recall@lovetodream.com and we will confirm it for you.
I cannot find or read the date code.
Please stop using it for now, keep it disconnected from the charger, and email a photo of the side of the unit to recall@lovetodream.com. We will check it against our manufacturing records and come back to you within 5 business days either way.
Can I keep using it until my refund or replacement arrives?
No. Please stop using it now and keep it disconnected from any charger. The battery can overheat at any time and the risk is not reduced by careful use.
Is it safe if I do not charge it?
The fault relates to overheating during charging, so keeping it disconnected substantially reduces the risk. But please still stop using it altogether, and keep it somewhere safe and away from anything flammable until you dispose of it.
I bought mine from another retailer, not from Love to Dream. Can I still claim?
Yes, absolutely. It does not matter where you bought it. Complete the form on this page and we will take care of your refund, replacement or credit directly. You do not need to go back to the retailer.
